Patri-whatic?

Kevy and I had a great weekend with the Liljenquist cousins up at Bear Lake! It is beautiful up
there, to say the least. We enjoyed: caving, 4-wheeling, games (cheating is essential - and I will not apologize for that), excellent food (thanks to Robin and her cooking skills!) and even betting company.

Even with making an American flag cake (thanks for the idea Katie), and setting off fireworks (or in my case, just spectating the fireworks... safety-first), I just didn't get the whole patriotic thing. Maybe next year?

Although Bear Lake is one of my favorite places, I would recommend that next year you go to a big park that is doing big fireworks and "Proud to be an American" (hum, is it called that?) is playing loudly in the background. I bet you'll feel it then :)

how could you not feel patriotic after making a cake like that?
my fav part of this post - "YOU'RE RUBBISH!"
