Monsters vs. Aliens

Kevin and I, being the Disney/Pixar/Dreamwork experts that we are, and after several requests (fine just one....from my dad) have decided to become movie critics.

Last night we went to review Dreamworks, "Monsters vs. Aliens" 3D at the Imax

My first impression once the movie was completed was simple but yet of vital significance to this review; "loved it"
Kevin's however was "the 3D isn't as good as Disney's" I'm not exactly sure what kind of credentials he has to make this judgement, but there you have it.

I don't really know anything about animation, however I would have to comment that the animations is nothing short of stunning and dressed to the nine in 3D. This movie was filmed in Tru3-D which really immerses you into the cartoon world. I had to do a double take as I was exiting the cinema, it was that good. Which is why I strongly believe that viewing it at the Imax is the only way to enjoy this motion feature. But like I said, I don't really know anything about animation.

As for the plot, it was not up to par with it's Pixar competitors. Honestly, who is ever going to top Toy Story?

All in all, we would say this movie is fun for the whole family and it is worth the trek to the imax to truly enjoy this film.

We give it 4 stars!
(Please note my stars are on the same scale as the Michelin scale)
