Since I will be staying in America for the foreseeable future, I have decided I should embrace my Americanism. Which is why i have begun "The Quest" of becoming the best American I can be...with an English accent.
My quest has been going really well so far. The quest more or less consists of me thinking of all American Teen movies, and doing the things in them (I stick to PGs!)
Last weekend we went to the Drive-In with Ashley and Jeff, and I have never felt so American. We brought tons of blankies and cuddled up in the back of Kevin's truck.
Thankfully, real life isn't like the movies, and I wasn't stranded at the Drive-in, especially as Kevin forbade me from singing it.
I have one week to prepare myself for the greatest American holiday of all time....The Fourth of July!

The Quest
This is my first 4th in the United States (I don't count the ones before I moved to England. I was three, like I can remember that!) Our big plans are: the parade (unfortunately I won't be in it), to float the Provo river, hike Squaw Peak and watch the fireworks. Of course we are always open to other ideas....just waiting for an invite.

oh oh you should go to a baseball game, and whatever sport allows you to have a foam finger, and you should make an apple pie.
but then im not exactly an expert. in fact they may take away my new passport if im so openly pro-american!
it's not the 4th of july without a hotdog and watermelon. and maybe a cake decorated with bananas, strawberries and blueberries to look like the american flag. apparently my holiday revolves around food. but if you wanna come to DC to watch fireworks i'll be sitting on the lincoln memorial just waiting for you guys.
I'll have to start thinking of American things for you to do! Thanks again for teaching for me!!! Oh, and will you let me know what lesson to teach Sunday? Thanks!
